Though outstanding peer-to-peer support, Mended Hearts volunteers prepared me for life after my heart event and stroke. I was able to prepare for the changes that would come, and understand why medicine adherence was so important. Great organization!

Mended Hearts is an outstanding peer-to-peer support organization and network for heart patients, their families, and their caregivers. The volunteers and members of Mended Hearts inspire hope and help to improve the quality of life of heart patients and their families through on-going peer-to-peer support, education, and advocacy.

I became a member of Mended Hearts in August 2016 after my cardiac event. I have received so much from this organization. Mended Hearts' peer-to-peer support has been invaluable as my heart disease progressed. The organization also offers a variety of cardiac-related programs, literature, education, and patient/family support through the use of telephone, Internet, and social media. Mended Hearts is important to me and to my community.
