I am a school counselor. Every year, the Assistance League of Omaha allows each school a limited number of "spots." which we can fill with needy children that could use clothing. These students are allowed to go to a mall in Omaha, where they are given vouchers and shopping time, all run by volunteers with the League. My students are always so excited to come to school the next day wearing clothing, coats or shoes that they were able to shop for themselves. When the kids feel better about themselves, they learn better, and make friends easier. I'm grateful for the role the Assistance League has taken on to make these students lives a bit easier.
