I am married to a 20 year cancer survivor (with several recurrences). A couple weeks ago, we both attended the week long training and counseling program. It was excellent. Both my wife and I gained immeasurably. The staff is deeply knowledgeable, caring and skilled. We were challenged and grew much. As a support person, I was expecting to learn ways in which I can better support my wife, and to become a better partner. I did learn that. And I also learned plenty about myself that will contribute to my own life being better. One leaves the Simonton program with personal work yet to do, and it is work that I'm confident will enhance our future and further strengthen our connection with each other.
