PWNA has been a trustworthy and reliable partner to the Pascua Yaqui Tribe Department of Language and Culture. Through the support of PWNA and their staff expertise of community engagement, we come closer to our overall quest to preserve and perpetuate our indigenous language, culture, history and traditions. Over the course of our cooperative partnership, we have worked together to bring experiential learning opportunities through the Huyapo Bwaa'ame Project or Our Desert Foods, to tribal members of the Yaqui Tribe focusing on the transmission of traditional knowledge of our relationship to our environment and the healing qualities of these natural foods strengthening the food sovereignty of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe.

We are appreciative and are grateful to PWNA for their support, expertise and understanding of the unique needs of Native Communities, we look forward to continuing our collaborative work with PWNA for meaningful projects in our community.
