I joined Assistance League of Greater Wilmington when I retired and moved to North Carolina; I have been fortunate in life and wanted to do something meaningful that would help those in need. Assistance League has many worthwhile programs serving school children, seniors and others in New Hanover/Brunswick/Pender Counties and you do feel as if you are making a difference in people's lives. Additionally, they are a great group of women to work and be friends with.
