Simply put, City Blossoms changes lives. By exposing urban kids from age 2 to 20 to gardens, we're working to educate them about gardening, food nutrition, art, community building, and environmental awareness. For high school kids, we're also exposing them to entrepreneurship with the products they make and sell. Our alums have gone on to get full-ride scholarships to college. Others have learned how to access and cook nutritious food, even in a food desert. I'm always amazed about what City Blossoms achieves, including its awards for environmental protection, gardening leadership, and board leadership. When I make my charitable donations each year, City Blossoms is at the top of the list.
