I was 15 years old when I came to Horizon Counseling & Outreach center. I had rebelled against my guardians after going through sexual abuse. With depression suicidal thoughts and anger management issues. It was a very difficult time for me. I came to the center seeking help to heal and over come my past as well as to learn how to control my anger. Instead I found a family, not only did I receive the help I needed for my personal problems but I found a place where I belonged and was loved for who I was as well as accepted. Not only did I overcome my pain and recovered, I grew as a person. I am now a 25 year old women, professional, loving, joyful, healthy (both mental and physically) wise, and ALIVE thanks to Horizon Counseling a Dr. Cintron. After I finished my program, I became a volunteer and eventually became a Professional Life Coach, provided counsel and guidance to other teenagers/young adults.
