My Nonprofit Reviews

I am Francis Aheto, a final year BSc. Food Science and Technology student of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana. Had it not been for the timely intervention of Educational Pathways International (EPI) scholarship program, I would have dropped out of school by now, due to the financial inadequacy and insolvency of my family. Being a beneficiary of this scholarship program has greatly alleviated the financial burden and emotional stress of my parents. If not for EPI's financial aid, the indebtedness of my parents by now, due to the aggregated sums of money they would have borrowed from friends and microfinance agencies would have prevented my younger sister from being able to continue her education to the Senior High School. 

The amazing thing is that EPI has highly contributed to my academic success of being the top student of my class presently. With the funds received from EPI in my second year at the university for instance, I was able to purchase a laptop which has been a great asset for my studies and academic research works since then.

My career goal is to become a Dietician and Nutraceuticals Researcher focused on developing functional foods from underutilized local crops, to help in reducing the high micronutrient malnutrition in Ghana and Africa at large. 

EPI is not like any other charity organization that merely provides financial aid without checking up on the intellectual growth and leadership skills training of their beneficiaries. From the grooming I have received from EPI, I have become more confident, diligent and psychologically prepared for the job market.  The love EPI has shown me so far, has inspired me to contribute my selfless quota in the founding of  "Aid Hub Ghana", a student charity organization that is aimed at providing primary schools in rural communities with requisite teaching and learning materials.

With the professional goals setting guidance, emotional support and confidence boosting training that I continue to receive from being part of EPI family, I definitely have hope for a better future.
