I have been in Assistance League now for over 10 years and it has been very rewarding. I work with our Emergency School Bell program, which helps provide new school clothes for families that are in crisis. The situation could be from a fire, home eviction or domestic abuse. We also have school personnel call to see if a coat can be provided for a child who shows up in the winter without one! During our formal Operation School Bell program in October, we assist over 3,000 children with new clothing. It has been very surprising to me how much need exists in Omaha. I'm so glad that Assistance League, Omaha exists and can help our local children!
