I adopted a heartworm positive dog from Charleston Animal Society and the experience went beautifully! The staff and veterinarians were very responsive to her needs and the animal society covered all the costs associated with the treatment, which saved me hundreds of dollars. They are an AAHA accredited facility (even our regular veterinarian hasn't achieved this yet), so I knew she was in the best hands for her treatment. I would definitely adopt from them again!
