Throughout my time in Charleston, I have supported Charleston Animal Society through volunteering, donating, and advocacy. In 2005-2007 I volunteered after high school walking dogs, caring for kittens and puppies, and assisting adopters. During that time, we had many adult dogs come through the shelter that were heartworm positive but unable to be adopted due to the cost of treatment. Each week I picked two-three dogs that were heartworm positive and paid for the treatment.

In the time that I volunteered I also fostered many puppies and kittens that were too young, ill or in need of TLC. When these animals were ready for adoption, I found adopters or I adopted them my self. I have continued to foster over 50 animals for Charleston Animal Society since 2005. Pictured are just a few of my previous fosters that I have adopted.

I have watched Charleston Animal Society become a leader, ambassador, and role model in the animal welfare field. I will continue to support Charleston Animal Society and their efforts of establishing No Kill, No Harm, No More.
