I fostered and adopted a mom dog and her puppy and it was such a wonderful experience from start to finish. Every time I needed to bring the dogs in for a checkup it was so apparent the staff truly deeply cared about the animals they help save everyday. I wasn't just another person and the dogs I was fostering weren't just a couple more animals. The staff was connected and invested in the care of my fosters and they were interested in not just their health but their life outside the shelter. When I donate I know it goes to support the amazing care my new family members received while at the Animal Society. And if not for the great work they do I know my new pups would not be alive today to give unconditional love to me and my family.

I am very thankful for Charleston Animal Society. There are a lot of cats that live in my neighborhood and with all the construction going on lately a lot of them have been more out in the open. Some neighbors complained about the cats now that they could see them and were concerned about them breeding and multiplying. Thanks to Charleston Animal Society's Trap-Vaccinate-Alter-Return program I was able to get all these cats spayed/neutered for free so they could live out the rest of their life in the neighborhood without worrying people about kittens everywhere.
