I was a first responder at the WTC on 9/11 and the days and weeks after took a huge toll on me physically and mentally . I was blaming myself for other peoples actions and inactions . I was holding onto a lot of pain that had begun to manifest itself physically in my body . Pain that I had been experiencing for years . During one of my therapy sessions the pain melted away (it almost seemed like magic).
The staff was such a professional , talented and caring group of people . They treated the Warriors with such care and professionalism and at the same time like family. It will not soon be forgotten.
Not long after I got home when I would pass friends in the super market they would say hello and ask what is different with me . I knew it was Warrior camp, it is a life changer.
Just my opinion I think it has a huge positive impact on the staff as well and that is good too.
