Review for Miami Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired, Inc., Miami, FL, USA
My daughter has been legally blind since birth and has just relocated from CT to work in south Florida. After doing some research about services for the visually impaired in the state of Florida my daughter contacted Miami Lighthouse. This is a very impressive organization! We are use to dealing with state agencies and things always seem to move at a snails pace. Corina Hernandez (Senior Case Manager) spent a lot of time with us explaining how services work in Florida and helped my daughter to feel confident that she can be successful at her new job. Corina gave us a tour of their state-of-the art facility and made us feel that we have an advocate and a resource in Miami Lighthouse. We also met with Virginia Jacko the President and CEO of Miami Lighthouse. Ms. Jacko is an individual that every blind or visually impaired person can emulate. I highly recommend Miami Lighthouse to anyone that may need their services, or looking to donate or to volunteer
