Two years ago, I adopted Vin from Give a Dog a Home and it has been a terrific experience. I've been so pleased with Jenny and GaDaH that I've done some volunteer work over the past few months to support the good work being done there. Here are the highlights of my experience:
1. Jenny was upfront not only about Vin's good qualities, but also about a few things I would need to work on with him when we got home. All her observations were spot-on and made the transition to his new life easier for all of us.
2. Because Vin had spent time "in the pack", he has amazing "doggie manners." I've never seen a dog so well socialized with other dogs. My smaller dog is often nervous around big dogs, but she has trusted Vin from Day 1.
3. The adoption process was thorough and professional and the meet-and-greet was comfortable and well done. Vin and I left GaDaH that day comfortable with each other and ready to start our lives together.
Would I return to GaDaH to adopt another dog? In a heartbeat!
