AHO changes lives and builds youth leaders. AHO is a visionary leader and innovator for social change working with youth who are homeless, or at-risk of becoming homeless ages 18 to 25 who have not been in the "system" of foster care, nor are they mentally ill. These are young people no one was helping because there were no funding streams for them. AHO created a model that brought the community into the solution where businesses, faith communities, individuals, professionals and organizations give their talents and skills, thus on a small budget, AHO is able to provide comprehensive and personalized "whole person" support for youth.

At AHO, youth have a voice and are a part of everything AHO does with opportunities for leadership, sharing their stories with community and political leaders throughout the Bay Area and Sacramento. AHO provides a cost-effective, powerful opportunities for youth to reach their goals, becoming contributing adults and future leaders.
