Review for Arabian Rescue Mission Inc, Leitchfeild, KY, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I started working with Arabian Rescue Mission (ARM) back around 2010 (I can't remember exactly). There was a case of many arabian horses in Ohio not being properly cared for by a "professional trainer". When I saw the post about this case, before ARM was officially involved, and I, having arabian horses myself, became very concerned. I watched posts about how Terry from ARM, with the help of other locals, obtain the horses, get them in a place to evaluate and care for them, and eventually getting all the horses adopted. When it was time for the court, she needed a lawyer that could help with it here in Ohio and I was able to connect her with a local lawyer who was willing to take the case pro bono. Because Terry had all the proper documentation, photos, etc, ARM won the case and the person responsible for causing harm to these beautiful horses was punished.

In 2012, I was notified by a friend that her neighbor's relative is very sick and lives in West Virginia. I notified Terry and as we patiently waited for the family to be ready to release the horses, Terry started setting everything up. A month later, the "go ahead" was given by the wife, after her husband passed away, to start rescuing the horses. They were being taking care of by a person that had no knowledge of horses, and they were not in the best shape. All of these horses were saved and found homes.

This is just some of the cases ARM has taken on that I have been on the "sideline" but helping in anyway I can. Terry works hard for the sake of the horses, she gives up a lot to be able to care for the horses and she is always willing to go on a moments notice to save horses.

I am proud to say, I have met Terry and I will always do what I can to help out ARM!!

I first heard of Arabian Rescue Mission around 2009 or 2010. There was a herd that needed rescuing here in my state of Ohio and they were called in to help. All those horses were place and I helped them obtain a lawyer for court of those horses. I was also contacted by a good friend whose neighbor was related to the owner 50 horses that were in need of rescuing in WV. This was a delicate situation because the owner was very ill and his wife could not deal with any more stress at the time. I contacted Terry and we kept communication open between all parties until the wife was ready to allow these horses to be placed. To this day, Terry is still in contact with those family members and keeps them updated on their horses. Terry is very professional and communicates openly about the horses that are in need of rescuing. She travels to states (mostly on the east coast and midwest) to coordinate a facility, vets, volunteers, farriers, etc to get these horses placed in adopted or foster homes (herds of 50 horses are done within a week's time). I am very proud of the work she does and she truly cares about the well-being of the arabian horse (and other breeds too).
