Aussie Love
Review for Speak For The Unspoken, Grove City, OH, USA
I actually found Speak! for the Unspoken in August 2016 by accident. I was on Petfinder.com looking for an Australian Shepherd to adopt. I came across the most wonderful little puppy that was called a Double Merle Australian Shepherd and due to irresponsible dog breeding, she was born deaf and blind. After researching what a Double Merle was, and just how wide spread the problem of irresponsible dog breeding was, I just had to meet this little pup named Hope. Hope arrived with her wonderful foster mom (Paula) and I just fell in love. I adopted Hope immediately and continued to stay in contact with her foster mom. Within the next year, I had adopted another Australian Shepherd and another Double Merle Australian Shepherd that was also deaf and blind (that makes three). I then ended up falling in love with Speak! for the Unspoken because they go above and beyond to save animals in need. Animals that most people turn their backs on...but not Speak! Their motto "We see possibilities not disabilities". Speak! works to educate the public on irresponsible dog breeding and how adopting a dog with disabilities isn't something that people should shy away from. My pups are extremely smart and most people have no idea they are deaf and blind when they meet them. Having the two pups with disabilities, I can say I would do it again and again and again! Thank you Speak! I cannot imagine my life without these wonderful pups! Please check out their website at http://speakfortheunspoken.com/ for more information!
