They refuse to hire people of color to work or volunteer. Recently, I called on behalf of my daughter, and the conversation went well. She asked pertinent questions that made me believe she was very interested. Then, I relaxed, and my African American vernacular must have come through. This Executive Director couldn’t get off the phone fast enough. Initially, she asked that I send a copy of my daughter’s resume... So I did. She neither replied, (giving the dignity of a response), nor acknowledgement of receipt.
