Review for Second Wind Fund, Denver, CO, USA
What is one life worth? Second Wind is dedicated to saving the lives of at risk teens. I have been an adviser/supporter of Second wind for a decade. I value the work they do to raise money to insure that at risk high school kids can get the counseling they need to prevent the horrific tragedy of their taking their own lives. To know that such an agency exists to which school, churches, synagogues and mosques can refer our precious children is reassuring, especially in these days of economic stress in our communities. I hope and pray and will work to underwrite the efforts of the Second Wind Fund so that they will go from strength to strength. For, he saves a single life is as though he had saved an entire universe.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
I know the good work that Second Wind does. Whereas I have never referred a student or congregant to them, I know that teens in my congregation go to schools that have. Who knows how many lives have been saved in and through the work of Second Wind?
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Make it a national program...and then international!
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
that it saves the lives of teenagers at risk.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
entire professional and motivated.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
go national and beyond. Does anyone doubt the need?
Ways to make it better...
Couldn't be better unless it got a grant of, say, a billion dollars.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
Like all non-profits, this endeavor needs money to sustain and grow the important work they do.
One thing I'd also say is that...
The suicide of one's child leave an unimaginable wake of guilt, despair, anger and endless suffering. Second Wind provides a way for at risk kids to be identified and referred to get the help that saves lives.
