Review for Washburn Center for Children, Minneapolis, MN, USA
Washburn is a pillar i the community of children's mental health. Not only do they give hope to many children and families in a direct way, they also work hard at educating other health providers and the community on the hard issues of mental health. Any family that has a child suffering from mental health knows what it is like to feel helpless and unsure of what to do and where to go. Washburn helps families cope and heal.
More Feedback
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
many ways - through stories from families, through the employees that care so much about the kids they help and through direct help of our son.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
make more people aware of what Washburn does. Children's mental health is a tough topic to tackle and discuss. If more people knew what Washburn did, we could help more children.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
understanding what they do to help children. It is amazing!
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
kind, considerate, caring, intelligent and dedicated to Washburn.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
help fund a new facility to serve more children.
Ways to make it better...
I had more time to give.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
ensuring funds to continue to serve children
One thing I'd also say is that...
we have an opportunity to help our community not be fearful of mental health. Washburn tackles mental health in an understandable, educational and helpful way.
