I learned about banking simulations when I attended the 2017 Summer CTE Conference in Greensboro, N.C. I went to our Career Development Coordinator, and she was familiar with Smart Financial Choices. I began emailing Betty Ann Faulkner. She is vibrant and enthusiastic. Betty Ann, along with accounting and business majors and instructors from Winston-Salem State University along with area business owners volunteered at our school. Both of my Personal Finance classes went through the stations. I have never seen students so engaged. They are still talking about this experience and how much they learned. Career Management students participated as well. Students were thrilled with the gift bags too. I am asking Betty Ann to come back in the Spring. Every student and even adults should see this program in action. What does it look and feel like, it looks and feels like reinforcement in student's lives for for making wise financial choices and help with the final exam. I highly recommend this to anyone.
