Review for WeSPARK Cancer Support Center, Sherman Oaks, CA, USA
In the darkness of a cancer journey, WeSPARK is a warm, comforting, well-lit place. Not only did I have access to a broad range of services (a support group, qigong, meditation, yoga, drumming... even a gym!!!), the staff create a warm, nurturing, caring place that always made me feel comforted and safe. WeSpark was also the place where I met my two closest "cancer buddies" -- and also provided services to help my young child through the trauma of a parent with cancer. Having "shopped around" for a cancer support center that would fit my needs as a young-ish, single mother (including Wellness Center, Gilda's Club, and smaller hospital-based support centers), I know that WeSpark is a unique and remarkable place. If only they were franchised in other cities!!!
