My Nonprofit Reviews

I have volunteered with HUM in a variety of roles and have always found that I am the one feeling served as I leave. The men in the mission are polite and appreciative and carry with them a sense of dignity and hope, even amidst their struggles. Their freedom to share their stories, and their vulnerability in doing so, makes me feel more like a trusted friend, rather than a volunteer serving dinner, or participating in a book group discussion. There is a palpable spirit of hope and worth in the mission that is inviting to everyone who enters in.
