St Christine's operates in the Brightmoor district of Detroit, arguably the most economically challenged area in Detroit. I have personally witnessed the good work of this organization on many occasions, both in the soup kitchen and the food pantry. St. Christine's is a beacon of hope for their "clients", many who are families with small children who have no were else to turn and are fighting to extract themselves from the shackles of severe poverty. Without St Christine's they might have no hope.
