I became friends with a staff member and ended up doing some consulting (I'm a long time Zoo Manager). I'm very impressed with the dedication of the volunteers and staff here. First, this is a genuine sanctuary, some places call themselves a sanctuary, but they are really a business. Wildlife Survival Sanctuary is truly a forever home for unwanted exotic animals. They make a huge effort to employ the most current methods for humane and positive behavioral management. The staff and volunteers constantly strive to improve the welfare of the animals under their care and as such, the animals who are lucky enough to live with them get the best care possible! Really excellent place with really great people!
