Review for Yggdrasil Urban Wildlife Rescue, SAN FRANCISCO, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Yggdrasil Urban WIldlife Rescue has become an integral and necessary part of educating people as much as saving wildlife. I have known the director, LIla Travis, for many years and her unwavering dedication to saving animals in need combined with working to educate people about living with wildlife is unprecedented. The entire group of people; volunteers, donors, veterinary clinics, et al that are involved with YUWR are amazing. I believe to lose this valuable community service would be an absolute tragedy. Not only for the wildlife, but the people that are touched every day by something YUWR has been involved in (like perhaps that squirrel in your tree was an orphan and released by them). All of the animals that have to come to the facility are treated very very well. Giving them as much a chance as possible to return to a wild life. They are loved, cared for and not to mention completely adorable. The vast knowledge of critter habits, human cohabitation and general husbandry this organization has should be wholly supported in any way possible.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

I have seen many animals returned to the wild, many people educated in how to live with urban wildlife and therefor saving both a lot of trouble and even had to call upon them in my own wildlife rescue needs.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

their knowledgable dedication to animals and people.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Absolutely amazing. It is always hard to maintain volunteers, but the ones I have met have been dedicated and wonderful.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

purchase an appropriate facility

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
