I have volunteered several times for Cast for Kids. What has been most endearing about these kids’ events is seeing the joy on the child’s face in connecting with a fish on the line for the first time! It is a wonder to behold! Such a sense of accomplishment, being on a boat, fresh air, experiencing a brand new adventure, and best of all expressing sounds of joy, laughter, freedom, and mostly a positive connection with nature and other fishermen. A true sense of belonging when often there is none. Mom and dad are over joyed too!
