As an ALKC member and a lifelong music teacher, singer and pianist, I now have a new performance venue....playing piano and singing "golden oldies" songs to Smithville Living Center residents in the memory care unit. What a joy when these people dig deep in their memories and sing along or get up and dance to the music. Hopefully it blesses them, as it most certainly does me.
