Review for Diabetes Research Institute Foundation, Inc., Hollywood, FL, USA

Rating: 5 stars

The DRIF is at the forefront of research into finding the Cure for Type I Diabetes. The organization works with research groups all over the world. If you know anyone with Type 1 Diabetes you know how important it is to find a cure for this incideous disease as soon as possible. If you want a cure, then you need to support the DRIF.

Review for Diabetes Research Institute Foundation, Inc., Hollywood, FL, USA

Rating: 5 stars

The happiness of parenthood is sharply defined by the health and welfare of our children. The parents of children with diabetes have the constant presence of a monkey on our shoulders, as our children’s moment to moment health can vary without an exact explanation as to why the change is happening. Parents of children newly diagnosed with Type I diabetes are caught in a whirlwind of fear, disbelief, and unanswerable questions. The members of the PEP Squad of the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation have walked in their shoes, so we reach out to them to make this new road a little smoother to travel. We are there to give support, answer seemingly “silly” questions, and give them reassurance about their children’s futures. We hope that we can make them feel a little less alone at what is one of the most difficult times faced by parents – the diagnosis of Type I diabetes in a child!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

I've found a place wghere a parent of a child with Type I diabetes can be become involved and find support at the same time. It is a place that is dedicated to finding a cure for diabetes while getting people together.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the wonderful people at all levels of the organization.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

dedicated to finding a cure for diabetes while making families feel that they have a place to go to.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

find a cure for diabetes!!!!!!
