bright light volunteers is an incredible organization with the mission of creating upcoming world leaders by exposing children to other cultures across the globe...i volunteered with bright light in cuba and the experience was life altering... we were able to be of service to others, but more importantly, we engaged with the beautiful people of cuba. they welcomed us with open arms and made us feel like part of their families. this is what's unique about bright light, our volunteers receive just as much as they give.. this is what begins the ripple effect of awareness and appreciation for other cultures which in turn creates compassion in our volunteers, laying the groundwork for them to become strong, influential leaders. petri b.
