ARL has been such a great place to me since I moved to Boston two years ago. I moved close by so I signed up to volunteer and also ended up adopting a cat from them a year later. They have some great programs (community cats, spay waggin, happy moms happy litters, bringing animals in from places struck by a hurricane or through their regular transport program, etc) and also pet behavior help. Seeing staff and volunteers care for the animals behind the scenes and being able to adopt an animal from a hoarding case they took in has been amazing!
