CORD USA is a grass roots level organization that works to directly benefit the rural areas of the Indian subcontinent. I am a CORD volunteer and I have seen CORD workers in action on the ground. They work in hundreds of villages and go door to door to include all households in the rural empowerment schemes. CORD facilitates education, vocational training, sanitation, nutrition, women empowerment, and health care related programs to help rural areas. CORD has 0% overhead and is fully run by dedicated volunteers. CORD's unique rural empowerment programs have won awards and have been adopted by many other non-profit organizations.
