I began my journey of learning about 17 years ago. 16 years ago I learned I could have a study partner. I was assigned someone who lives in New York and we studied over the phone at no cost to me. The cost of phone service was different in those days but I was never asked for money.

We are still together, studying once a week. She is extremely/shockingly knowledgeable and patient and encouraging. I am soooo lucky to have her.

She had two occasions to come to Baltimore: a simchah for her niece and the marriage of her son. How shocked and honored I was to be invited to meet her and to be invited to her son's wedding!

I'm getting older each day and I still have a long way to go in my desire to learn. We are doing psalms; there are 150. And there are 6 chapters of Perkei Avos and 613 Commandments and 39 Melachos and many books in the Nach and .............. I am 77 years old. If I live to be 120, will I be able to finish it all?
