The John Austin Cheley Foundation sends underserved youth to wilderness-based summer camps to give them access to experiences they would otherwise be unable to have that offer them the opportunity to grow, learn leadership skills, form friendships, and develop resiliency and confidence. The Foundation works with a network of camps and community organizations to form meaningful mentoring relationships for the campers it serves. By maximizing all of its resources, the Foundation is very efficient in the use of its funds, its staff time and its volunteers.
