Review for ZERO - The End of Prostate Cancer, Alexandria, VA, USA
I am an ongoing survivor of prostate cancer and Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL). My life partner, Jacqueline Lopez, and I speak around the country to survivors and partners on how to regain intimacy in the face of their cancer - a particularly crucial issue for men and their partners facing prostate cancer (I am clinically impotent).
ZERO Cancer California Chapter Director Vanessa Petersen introduced us to Genesis Healthcare last Spring. They are one of the largest prostate cancer medical groups in the country. As a result we were the closing keynoters for their annual Prostate Cancer Symposium last June, where we shared the stage with Ken Griffey, Sr.
The audience reception to our speech was so powerful that Genesis is now taking active measures to address prostate cancer's impact to couple's intimacy and relationship. This never would have happened without the tremendous proactive work of Vanessa to help prostate cancer survivors in *all* aspects of their lives.
We work with many different cancer support / funding organizations and in our opinion, ZERO Cancer is absolutely the most energized and focused of them all. Jacqueline and I are deeply honored to assist them in their mission in any way we can.
