MSA is a rare disorders of the central nervous system that is often overlooked and for which there is currently no therapy available. Lots of work still needs to be done to find a therapy that might ameliorate symptoms or slow down MSA disease progression. Defeat MSA is a much needed and wonderful organization that raises awareness (e.g. MSA shoe, patient support group) and furthermore supports ongoing efforts to find novel therapies.
