Joey was advertised as a free kitten on Facebook. As a foster family, we always cringe when we see free kittens advertised because you never know what the crazy people out there will do with them. Joey was only about five weeks old when he was brought into St. Louis Pet Rescue and we started fostering him.
During his first week with us while he was in quarantine, he climbed his cage like a little monkey wanting to get out. After his quarantine was up, he was all over the house wrestling with our big cats and pouncing on them. Having been neutered and completing his series of FVRCP shots, Joey became available for adoption.
I'll never forget that dreadful day when we took him to Petco to be seen by prospective adopters. I bawled my eyes out the whole time, and my mon said, "Well I guess Joey will be another foster fail"!
Today I can't imagine my life without my Joey-bug. He's such a big ball of fluff. He loves to chase the laser light for exercise and then relax while laying on his back, and he has become quite good at the game of hide and seek as he races through the house to find me when I call his name. He wakes me up most mornings by licking my face telling me it's time to get up, and he is so good with all our new foster babies. I love my Joey so much! Thank you St. Louis Pet Rescue!! --Sarah
