I have been a volunteer with the Coalition Against Human Trafficking for about 8 years and of all the organizations that I have been a member of, this one is most organized and impactful one. My time is not just appreciated but consequential. It has been extremely successful in spreading the word about human trafficking to teachers, students, parents, nurses and physicians etc. They have succeeded in passing legislation beneficial to human trafficking victims and that is no small task. I can think of no better New Jersey non-profit to volunteer with or donate to.

Every year that I am involved in the NJ Coalition Against Human Trafficking I am more and more impressed with the organization and what it accomplishes. I am now a co-chair of the Slave Free Commerce Committee where I get lots of support from the Adminstration and other of the committees. I have been a part of this organization for a year and am so impressed with them. I have gone out delivering Soap to hotels in NJ for the SOAP program to help save the lives of trafficked women. They have a group of dedicated individuals and organizations which help get legislation passed to prevent this scourge and help the women in NJ who are sex trafficked. They are also working on understanding and eliminating the products we buy which are made on the backs of human trafficked child laborers. We must support this organization and put an end to Human Trafficking.

Until I saw an article in my local newspaper, I had no idea that human trafficking was occurring in my suburban town and all over the U.S. Horrified and feeling helpless, I found this fantastic organization of committed people who are working together with many other organizations and groups to put an end to this serious problem. After going to an orientation, I really felt that this was a group that could not only promote awareness but promote positive changes in legislative policies and help the people who are victims of human trafficking. Now I am hopeful.
