Review for My Hero Project Inc, Laguna Beach, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

MY HERO has made me the subject of a documentary - it explores my life as a holocaust survivor, a refugee, a single parent and activist. The short film has helped me promote my work for social good and expanded the reach of many of the non profit organizations that I support. The film, "Eva Haller: A Work in Progress," has been screened at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, Glasgow Caledonia University, The Rotary Club International Peace Conference and more. I have renewed connections with old friends and have been able to mentor others as a result of this documentary.

The work of MY HERO to showcase heroes of all ages from all walks of life makes it a unique destination of hope for students around the globe. I am so pleased to be a part of this organization and have joined its board so that I can help it further its important mission. I have also been been mentoring a young man whose life was changed by MY HERO. Mohamed Sidibay, a child soldier who witnessed the murder of his entire family. He was miraculously saved after 5 horrific years of war in Sierra Leone. Today he is a leading ambassador working with the United Nations to advocate for equal access to quality education for all. This is possible because of the support and encouragement of The MY HERO Project.

The project has changed his life, mine and millions of others by empowering people of all ages to use media, art and technology to share their inspiring stories.
