Another friend of mine told me about two dachshunds, one 3, one 11, who had been left at a vet's kennel for four months. Cindie Kura facilitated the adoption and then held my hand through the first rough winter of ownership. Subsequently she babysat them for me, and even went with me to the vet to have the older one put down at age 14. Without DRBC and her, I would never have been able to manage these two standard dachshunds, a breed previously unknown to me in a lifetime of dog connections.
