I came to HUM in 2015 looking to restore my life. I never imagined how much I could learn to regain control and restore my life. I found peace within myself. I met amazing men who wanted the same thing I wanted. I found faith, honesty, and a new way of life. The program gave me the tool to succeed. I have restored all of my relationships with my friends and my family. I have learn how to become an adult and take care of the wreckage over the years. I also have found my passion, which is helping others. I am a Peer Recovery Specialist now working in one of the busiest ER in the state of Maryland. This place is a house of GOD and will help anyone looking for restoration. I have found happiness and met some amazing men during the process. This program has given my parents their son back, my sister has her brother back, and my niece and nephew have their uncle back. I am a friend again and most importantly am an honest christian man handling my business day to day. Thank you Helping Up Mission for giving me the tools and allowing me time to rebuild and regain my life.
