I can't says enough about this nonprofit. They selflessly save(both medically and behaviorally), foster and adopt out senior dogs. I adopted a dog from there and the experience was great.

(May have posted this already but not sure since neglected to leave name.) After my dog, a 15-year old terrier mix adopted 5-years ago from a municipal shelter where I volunteer, passed away in the spring, I was devastated. I went to a Sanctuary event, a monthly meet-and-greet, and knew right then and there that I wanted to adopt again. I instantaneously fell in love with several of the dogs. I adopted Jackie, who I renamed Sandy because of the resemblance to the Otterhound of the same name in the 1981 Annie, and she quickly became my new best friend. The Sanctuary had taken great care of her, treating her medical needs, and I am grateful to them. Their mission of saving senior dogs, who, in my humble opinion, give their owner a love that is laden with gratitude, is vital and they execute extraordinarily well.
