We are a small, yet hard working organization dedicated to help control the cat's overpopulation and provide food, litter, medical care and assistance to our elderly and handicap citizens with their cat's needs.
We have been receiving food for the 20+ colonies since 2016 and we have no words to express our gratitude to The Pet Project and their amazing staff. Without their help and support we wouldn't be able to do what we do.
We take in injured and sick xats and as a result we have high vet bills but thanks to the donated cat food we are able to keep helping our feline friends.
Last May we received a call from one of our colony feeders telling us that someone dumped a very small and sick kitten, I ran to the place oy to find out that it was an 8oz tiny baby with a severe infection in both eyes. Thanks to the quick response and immediate treatment we were able to save her right eye but unfortunately her left eye had to be removed.
The most recent case is a 1lb kitten pulled from the engine of a car by a FWCC officer who after finally removong her from the car called me, I ran to the rescue and the next day she was at the vet. Now in just a week she is healing nicely and even gained 1 more pound.
