I have been a volunteer for over a year and it has been a welcome therapy from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The animals I have seen come through change you, they help you to become a better person just as much as you help them with their issues. No matter the terrible situations they come from they are so forgiving of so much and still find a way to overcome so much and recognize that you are here to help them. When I can't work at the barn because of life I still try to help out with fundraisers and donations as much as I can. I have found my special horse here and am in the process of adopting him and wouldn't consider any other option. The joy I get from seeing the animals as they are transformed and get their own forever homes is the greatest reward of all. Save The Horses saves more than just horses too so you get to enjoy a variety of animals and give them love as if they were your own because, in a way, they are....and they all love you for it.
