We adopted a little pony from West Virginia Horse Network. We are so impressed with this organization, not only for what they do for the horses they rescue, but the life lessons, and responsibility that they teach the young people that volunteer there. They do not take in more animals than can be cared for, and they do not adopt a horse out until they have received training, and are in good health. Their volunteers must keep their grades up, and learn all facets of horsemanship, not just riding. They are SO deserving, and do it all on a shoestring budget in an area that has been hit hard economically. Please consider them for recognition.

We adopted a rescue pony from this organization. They are so wise; they know that horses and ponies with good manners and training are kept, not surrendered. They do not adopt out horses until they are ready to be in a good home. They also teach their young volunteers valuable life lessons about responsibility, hard work, and giving back. They are also responsible in that they do not take in more animals than they can care for - feed, vet, farrier, etc.. And they do this all on a shoe string budget. Please support them!
