When I descend the steps of our family home each day, I am reminded of our first Family Week visit to P-Town more than 10 years ago. Friends we traveled with had made us a keep-sake photo collage box filled with memories from the week and it hangs on our staircase wall. In one photo, our eldest child, now 13 years old, is wearing rainbow-colored beads, a unicorn painted on her cheek. She is surrounded by other giggling children, all sporting the same beads. She belongs. She is part of something. Since that time, we’ve added two more children and we continue to attend FEC events and our children get it that they are going to be some place special every time.
