Review for Side by Side Brain Injury Clubhouse, Stone Mtn, GA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Side by Side Clubhouse and its staff are phenomenal! With excellent attention to detail, one-on-one interaction, and a smile, the staff go above and beyond the call of duty to serve their members. Each member's inner potential is revealed, their individual personalities are celebrated, and, best of all, they are so appreciative of the Clubhouse and remain very engaged. Traveling sometimes more than two hours to get the Clubhouse, members are committed to their services, and staff do not disappoint. All that is needed now are MORE Clubhouses! There should be at least three more in GA.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

working with Cindi Johnson, speaking with the members, and speaking with staff members.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I would create more Clubhouses in GA and around the country, near every brain injury rehabilitation hospital/center.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Observing how much the members enjoy the Clubhouse and the services they recieve/

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

detail-oriented disciplined passionate above and beyond what is expected delightful

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

build and staff additional Clubhouses around the country Hire more staff Expand the size of their building and parking lot Provide additional services and resources to members

Ways to make it better...

... nope, each of my experiences were wonderful!

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

It quickly reaches its benefit ceiling when people who need the service are unable or not willing to travel far to get there

One thing I'd also say is that...

Cindi Johnson, the Director, is a Superwoman, and I just do not know how she is able to handle the managerial and administrative duties of the Clubhouse yet still know each member well.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every six months

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2010

Role:  Professional with expertise in this field & Visited Clubhouse on several occasions to gain staff and member input for creating a questionnaire for assessing safety risk after TBI.
