What makes the National Foster Parent Association exceptional is:
1. Supporting - for many decades - diverse foster families in neighborhoods across the United States who serve our communities by providing round-the-clock protecting and nurturing for children separated from their birth parents because of abuse and neglect.
2. Having a vision of a better world for children.
3. Committing to a mission of service and advocacy as reflected in our Code of Ethics.
4. Networking with other local, state, and national associations and organizations that also have the best interests of children and families at heart.
I have had the privilege of being a member of NFPA for many decades from the perspective of being a child welfare social worker as well as a foster parent and adoptive parent. It is an honor to connect with so many individuals who are committed to supporting families that put the needs of children first.
