I have volunteered for 5 years with this organization, participating in various fundraising events. Each event is top notch involving representatives from the military community as well as other professionals. Two years ago we started a thrift store which has provided employment as well as additional funds for our client veterans and their family members. The store has a good reputation for good quality household furniture and other items needed to maintain an active household. As a volunteer it is fun to work alongside the veterans and other volunteers in the store.

We have been with Combat Veterans to Careers for about four years and love it. We interface regularly with the veterans we help, as well as other veterans and volunteers in the area. We have about five key events a year so there is enough variety to be of interest for any volunteer. If that isn't your thing then you can do all sorts of activities to support the Restoring Hope Thrift Store, all focused on helping the combat veteran and their family getting back into the civilian environment. P.S, many of the volunteers are also veterans, so it is also a great way to share our brotherhood.

After I retired I learned how to refurbish and operate microsoft computers and laptops. One day I heard about an organisation that had been donated 10 computers with all the accompanying peripherals, and needed help setting them up. Thus I started helping the youth in Forward Paths. I do anything needed to help the office work smoothly. We have four work stations for the young people to use . The staff is great and the volunteers are fun to work with. I look forward to spending the day helping them.

It is great to work in an organization that really helps the combat Veteran in all areas of their personal and family's life. Many of the veterans work along side of us at the store and in support of other fund raising activities. This means we know the people we are helping, not just sending some money to an organization. A great organisation helping our veterans.

I started working with Combat Veterans to Careers by refurbishing Lap Top computers and giving them to the combat veteran clients. Then I stated volunteering in other support roles including the Restoring Hope Thrift Store in Wildwood. It is great to work in an organization that really helps the combat Veteran in all areas of his and his families life. Many of the veterans work along side of us at the store and in support of other fund raising activities. This means we know the people we are helping, not just sending some money to an organization.

There are many organization to help veterans, but none are as inclusive as Combat Veterans to Careers (CVC). CVC provides any and all help needed by an individual veteran and their family. Whether advise , funding , helping get a job, or just moral support it is what is needed the most at the time. CVC has many opportunities for the veterans and their family to come together with the many volunteers and the community in a social environment, thus getting to know each other, not just hearing about how CVC is helping.
